Does this affect our comparisons?

No. Our home-type fit flags and rankings come from manufacturer specifications and real UK owner feedback, cross-checked as described in how we compare. No manufacturer or retailer pays for placement, and none has editorial input over what we publish. We say so if a machine is a poor fit for a flat, regardless of affiliate potential.
